The classic of all the Little Tikes Bed models, the “Sports Car Twin” is designed for ages 3 and up, and supports a regular twin mattress and box spring. Please note the bed generally does NOT include the mattress and box from most retailers. Also included in purchase are several wood support beams. This twin bed model also allows two separate mattress height levels depending on age of your child.

For decoration the bed includes four large “mag wheel” stickers, for which replacements can be obtained from Little Tikes. Note, some buyers have complained these decals are of “low quality” and come off rather easily.

Basic dimensions are 94” long, but 58” wide, by 27” high. The product ships in a box about the same size direct to your home when you order from the Little Tikes official website.

Bottom line: Great bed for toddlers, especially those have challenges moving out of a crib to a real bed. Be careful with sticker decals as they can come off easily. Bed is easy to clean, easy to assemble and well-supported by the Little Tikes Bed support system.  This bed mdel is also available in Cherry Red!

Same in design as the blue version above, but certainly made for girls who have a need for speed.  In their sleep, at least. 

I've searched for years to find a safe bed for my 7-year-old developmentally delayed and disabled daughter. She likes to chew things, but can't chew up this bed. It's close to the ground, so she won't hurt herself if she falls out of bed. The posts by the headboard give her something to hold onto when she gets into bed. She just loves her adorable, safe new bed. And it didn't cost $10,000 like the medical bed we looked into ordering. 

Created for the imagination in all of us, the “Storybook Cottage Twin” is perfect for the girl that likes to read and spend time in magical lands of adventure. Designed for toddlers and up, some families report their teenage girls still use this bed. At the head of the bed you will find a useful shelf for books, alarm clocks and night-lights that closes using the “cottage shutters” for sleeping time. This bed will hold a standard size twin mattress and box spring, and measures 97 inches long, 49 inches wide and 60 inches high. Also included in purchase are several wood support beams.

In reading reviews about the “Storybook Cottage” specifically, we have found a recurring theme of trouble getting the bed together. However, almost all of these reviews mentioned that the bed DID go together and was much loved after that initial incident. Like all Little Tikes products this bed is easy to clean and will last because of its sturdy design and construction.

Bottom line: Another good creation from our friends at Little Tikes. Plan on extra time putting this bed together, but enjoy the memories afterwards.

Probably one of the most creative beds we have ever seen, the “Thomas & Friends” bed from Little Tikes includes actual train tracks on the rails allowing the bed to double as a play surface for the “Thomas The Train” play series of toys. Created for kids age 15 months to five years, the bed uses the standard crib size mattress, bit DOES NOT include a mattress or supports with it. Note, you will have to purchase your own mattress and supports with this package.

This model from Little Tikes comes with a little extra storage compared to the race car beds featured above. Look for a chest-style storage area at the foot of the bed perfect for books, PJ’s or just plain toys. There are additional cubbies and shelves in various places on the bed and even a larger shelf at the head of the bed.

Measuring 70 inches long, 34.5 inches wide and 41.75 inches long, this bed is a little smaller than the other Little Tike Beds featured on this page.

Bottom line:  We had been waiting for a Little Tikes Bed for younger than toddlers, and this one is it. While we find it hard to believe most five-year olds would still like the bed, it has a great resale value and is very sturdy. Again, very easy to clean and keep in good shape.
